Tinubu Appoints Ali M Ali, Baba Ndace, and Others as Heads of Agencies under Information Ministry

President Bola Tinubu, in a decisive move, has appointed Ali Muhammed Ali as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). This significant development comes as part of a comprehensive overhaul of the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.

The announcement was made by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement released on Thursday in Abuja. In addition to Ali Muhammed Ali, several outstanding individuals have been appointed to lead key departments and agencies in the Ministry.

Lanre Issa-Onilu has been appointed as the Director-General/CEO of the National Orientation Agency (NOA). Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos will assume the position of Director-General/CEO of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Dr. Muhammed Bulama has been appointed as the Director-General/CEO of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). Mr. Charles Ebuebu is now the Director-General/CEO of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace has been appointed as the Director-General/CEO of the Voice of Nigeria (VON). Dr. Lekan Fadolapo will assume the role of Director-General/CEO of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON). Lastly, Mr. Dili Ezughah has been appointed as the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Press Council (NPC).

President Tinubu has tasked the new leadership of these institutions with the responsibility to bring about innovation and create new opportunities for Nigerians. Through the effective reform of these key institutions, he envisions a unified nation, reshaped mindsets, and a showcase of Nigeria’s immense potential to the rest of the world.

The appointments of the newly appointed heads of agencies under the Ministry of Information and National Orientation take immediate effect.
