In a significant revelation, Chief Ayiri Emami, the Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, has expressed his confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of the Itsekiri people.
Speaking during the celebration of his 6th anniversary as Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom at his residence in Ubeji Community, Delta State, Chief Emami affirmed that Tinubu had assured him of addressing vital issues such as ports in Koko and Warri, as well as the overall development of Itsekiri land.
Reflecting on his discussions with the President, Emami highlighted Tinubu’s unwavering dedication to serving the nation, stating, “You know my own boss. My father and the father of the nation, the President of the federal republic of Nigeria. He just assumed office, and there are a lot of issues in the office that he is tackling.”
Emami emphasized that his conversations with Tinubu revolved around the interests of the Itsekiri nation, firmly stating, “But the few minutes I had to spend with him, I did not discuss my own personal interests. The issues I discussed had to do with the interests of the Itsekiri nation, and he had assured he will look into it. So, as it concerns Itsekiri, I don’t deviate.”
Contrary to speculations, Emami made it clear that he had no desire to hold ministerial or board positions in the Tinubu administration. He reiterated his unwavering commitment to advocate for the Itsekiri people at the federal level, prioritizing the development of ports, road infrastructure, and the overall well-being of the Itsekiri community and its environment.
Chief Ayiri Emami’s steadfast resolve to champion the cause of the Itsekiri people demonstrates his unwavering dedication to their progress and prosperity. His continued efforts in engaging with influential figures like President Tinubu highlight his relentless pursuit of the interests and aspirations of the Itsekiri nation.
