Sacrifice and Hope: Tinubu Urges South-West Muslims to Restore Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu emphasized the need for sacrifice as a crucial element in the restoration of Nigeria to its rightful position in the global community. Speaking to a delegation of South-West Muslim faithful, led by Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, in Abuja, on Friday, Tinubu highlighted the temporary challenges facing the nation and assured Nigerians of brighter days ahead.

According to Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President expressed his belief in the unity of the country and urged citizens to share in this belief. He assured the delegation that the government was working tirelessly to improve the economy for the benefit of all Nigerians.

“We have to believe in one country; we have to believe in Nigeria. We will do our best, and our economy will get better for the benefit of Nigerians. I am very sure of that, and we are putting in the work to ensure that,” the President stated.

Tinubu further emphasized that the policies and programs implemented by his administration were designed to create a fairer, better, and more honest society. He emphasized the importance of hard work and the consequences of laziness.

“It is about our future. We must guarantee our future. Almighty Allah will not give us a burden that we cannot bear. He has put us here for a purpose. It may look complex, even rough, but it will get better,” Tinubu said.

Addressing the controversial decision to remove petroleum subsidy, Tinubu explained that it was necessary to prevent the collapse of the nation. While acknowledging the pain caused by the removal of the subsidy, he stressed the importance of leadership making difficult decisions at the right time and for the right reasons.

“In the history of successful nations, there is nothing more vital than the leadership of a nation making difficult decisions at the right time and for the right reasons. There would have been no money for the sub-nationals,” the President affirmed.

In conclusion, President Tinubu called for unity, sacrifice, and hope as Nigeria faces its current challenges. Assuring the South-West Muslim faithful that the nation is on a path towards progress, Tinubu highlighted the importance of collective efforts in restoring Nigeria to its rightful place.
