Tinubu’s Loss of Political Magic: Insights from Former Rep Bugage

A seasoned member of the House of Representatives and a prominent political figure, Usman Bugaje, raised intriguing concerns about the efficacy of President Bola Tinubu’s problem-solving abilities. In a recent appearance on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ program, Bugaje expressed his disappointment with the President’s lackluster performance since assuming his current position.

Having worked closely with Tinubu during their time in the Action Congress (AC) and Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Bugaje anticipated a leader who possessed intellectual prowess and a keen ability to engage with the challenges facing the nation. However, to Bugaje’s dismay, this once-charismatic figure seemed to have lost his political magic.

“I am genuinely disappointed,” Bugaje lamented. “Tinubu, known for his voracious appetite for knowledge, always had a book in his hands, constantly seeking innovative solutions. However, that magic has inexplicably evaporated. It is disheartening to witness.”

Bugaje further emphasized that the current state of affairs in Nigeria suggests a distinct absence of problem-solving acumen, a stark contrast to the image Tinubu once projected. Neglected issues continue to worsen, with no signs of improvement.

While Bugaje’s opinions are subjective, they highlight the concerns of many Nigerians who had placed their hopes in Tinubu’s leadership. The nation eagerly awaits tangible resolutions to the mounting challenges it faces.
