Tinubu Government to Provide Affordable Housing for Nigerians, Says Minister

The Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa-Dangiwa, has reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to offering affordable shelter to Nigerians. Speaking at a reception and prayer session organized by the Kankia Local Government Area in Katsina State, Mr Musa-Dangiwa expressed his determination to serve the nation under his ministry.

During the event, Mr Musa-Dangiwa emphasized that the upcoming retreat for ministers will provide an opportunity to implement President Tinubu’s policies through their respective ministries. He assured the people that he would work tirelessly to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him as Minister of Housing and Urban Development.

The minister expressed his gratitude to Governor Dikko Radda for recommending him for the ministerial position and commended Tinubu for nominating him to the Senate for screening and confirmation. He also thanked the local government for organizing the event, promising to reciprocate the gesture through hard work, dedication to duty, and trustworthiness.

Governor Radda acknowledged that Mr Dangiwa’s appointment was divinely arranged, urging the people to pray for his success in discharging his duties diligently. He also assured them that the government understood their challenges and was committed to implementing policies that would bring relief to the citizens.

In his address, Musa Maikudi, Chairman of the Kankia Local Government, expressed gratitude to Tinubu for appointing their fellow citizen as a minister. The event was attended by other dignitaries, including the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani-Gwarzo, the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Nasiru Yahya, the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba-Faskari, as well as religious leaders and traditional rulers.

The Tinubu-led administration’s commitment to providing affordable shelter to Nigerians is a commendable step towards addressing the housing deficit in the country.
