Principal of Bodija International Schools Encourages Youths to Engage in Positive Activities

Youths across the country have received a powerful message from the Principal of Bodija International Schools, Ibadan, Frank Dairo, urging them to steer clear of social vices and redirect their energy towards positive pursuits. Dairo expressed this during a press conference held to announce the inaugural edition of the Justice Kayode Edo football tournament in Ibadan.

The tournament, named after the renowned Nigerian jurist, Justice Kayode Eso, who served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, aims to not only promote sporting talent but also to instil a sense of purpose and engagement among the youth. The event was attended by Mr. Adeniyi Alebiosu, Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State chapter, Architect Olumide Eso, the Head of Schools, and representatives of the participating institutions.

Addressing the journalists, Dairo highlighted that the restlessness experienced by many young people in the country can be effectively channeled towards positive endeavors. He emphasized that one of the key objectives of the competition is to unearth hidden talents among the youth.

“We have observed that a significant number of our youths are restless. We are encouraging them to channel their boundless energy towards constructive activities,” Dairo stated.

Furthermore, he underscored the importance of the three-day tournament, which will bring together eight schools, as a means to address the issue of youth restlessness. Dairo firmly believes that if the energy of young people is harnessed in a positive direction, it will yield better outcomes for both individuals and society as a whole.

“Our primary aim is not just to determine a winner, but to encourage participation and engagement among the youth. By doing so, we are preparing them for a brighter future,” he explained.

The Principal’s message underscores the significance of guiding the younger generation towards positive actions. By choosing to avoid social vices, Nigerian youths can unlock their full potential and contribute to the nation’s progress. This event serves as a rallying call for the youth to explore their talents, embrace competition, and ultimately become agents of positive change in their communities.
