The Nigerian government has recently announced a groundbreaking partnership worth one billion naira. The Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy (FMoCDE) has joined forces with IHS Towers to establish the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Learning Community.
This collaborative effort aims to establish learning communities across all 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory. It will provide opportunities for 3MTT participants to gather regularly, study, collaborate, and engage in project-based learning.
The establishment of these learning communities will not only foster the development of local innovation ecosystems but also accelerate the growth of technical talent across Nigeria.

Under this partnership, IHS Towers Nigeria will provide crucial financial support and industry expertise to the initiative. The company has committed to funding the salaries of 37 dedicated learning community managers, as well as granting access to a learning platform that will further enhance the development of 3MTT participants.
It is worth noting that the representatives of IHS Towers Nigeria recently met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. They expressed their commitment to supporting and investing further in the country.
Past endeavors by IHS Towers include the highly successful Mission T project, which has provided digital learning opportunities to over 550,000 students. This initiative equips them with the essential digital skills necessary for the future.
In addition, their collaboration with UNICEF on the School Connectivity project has positively impacted the lives of 70,000 Nigerian students across 187 schools in 15 states.
IHS Towers stands as one of the world’s largest independent owners, operators, and developers of shared communications infrastructure. With operations spread across 11 countries and three continents, the company has touched the lives of over 750 million people.
This recent partnership further exemplifies IHS Towers’ unwavering commitment to advancing education, addressing digital illiteracy, and fostering job creation in Nigeria.
