Abduction of NSUK Lecturer, Comfort Adokwe: Concerns Mount as Family and Friends Await Her Safe Return

The abduction of Comfort Adokwe, a lecturer in the Faculty of Administration at Nasarawa State University (NSUK), has left her family and friends in great distress, as they anxiously await her safe return. Adokwe, who is also the Deputy Director of Gender Studies at the university, was taken from her residence in Angwan Jaba, Keffi, on Sunday night by an armed gang.

Comrade Ali Sule, Chairman of the Community Development Association, verified the incident, explaining that the assailants raided the lecturer’s compound late at night and forcefully abducted her, leaving her whereabouts unknown.

Ovye Rachel Akpu, a close acquaintance of the Adokwe family, shared her deep concerns about the situation. She revealed that the family is currently overwhelmed with worry and confusion, as they have not received any communication from the kidnappers or a demand for ransom.

“Everyone is apprehensive. We have no information about her well-being or her present condition,” Akpu disclosed. “The kidnappers have yet to make contact with us, hence, we remain in the dark concerning their intentions.”

She added, “Our collective prayer is for God’s protection and for her safe and swift return to us.”

Akpu pleaded earnestly with Governor Abdullahi Sule and the security agencies to expedite action in resolving the matter.
