Former Head of Service, Adamu Fika, Laid to Rest in Kaduna, Nigeria

The remains of Nigeria’s esteemed former Head of Service of the Federation, Malam Adamu Fika, were solemnly laid to rest in Kaduna on Wednesday, evoking a profound sense of sorrow among attendees.

The solemn funeral prayers were led by the revered Chief Imam of Sultan Bello Mosque, Sheikh Ahmad Mohmuf Gumi.

News had previously circulated regarding the untimely demise of Malam Adamu Fika, who passed away late at night at the venerable age of 90.

The funeral prayers of the esteemed Waziri of Fika Emirate were graced by the presence of esteemed representatives, including those of President Tinubu and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Ambassador Babagana Kingibe; Yobe State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana; and the Emirs of Fika, Bade, and Fune, among other prominent dignitaries.

Amidst poignant moments of prayer, heartfelt pleas were offered for the repose of the departed soul.

Throughout his illustrious lifetime, the late elder statesman held several distinguished positions, most notably as a permanent secretary in various federal ministries such as internal affairs, commerce, and communications.

Furthermore, he served as the esteemed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the revered Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and assumed the revered role of Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
