The University of Abuja, popularly known as uniAbuja, has recently announced the promotion of 23 esteemed academic staff members to the highly esteemed rank of professor. This momentous announcement was made by the Acting Director of Information and University Relations, Dr. Habib Yakoob, in a statement released on Thursday in the vibrant city of Abuja, Nigeria.
Out of the 23 staff members who were promoted, an impressive 13 individuals were elevated to the prestigious rank of professor, while 10 were deservedly honored with the rank of associate professor. The decision to promote these outstanding scholars was made during the 80th regular meeting of the Appointment and Promotion Committee, A&PC, which was held on the 16th of June. Spanning across several disciplines, these promotions have touched a wide range of fields, including but not limited to Education Foundation, Medical Microbiology, Geography, Environmental Science, History and Diplomatic Studies, Soil Science, Christian Religious Studies, Biological Science, Statistics, Microbiology, Veterinary Medicine, Chemical Engineering, Public Administration, Biochemistry, Obstetrics, Geology, and Microbiology Parasitology.
