The Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Mr Jibrin Ndace, has made a commitment to revitalize and rebrand the organization in order to maintain its esteemed position among international radio stations.
During a familiarization tour and interactive session with the staff at the broadcasting house in Ikoyi, Lagos state, southwest Nigeria, Mr Ndace shared his plans to elevate VON to even greater heights. He emphasized the introduction of new technology and innovation, as well as staff motivation to enhance productivity.
Mr Ndace stated, “VON is the authoritative choice and I am committed to sustaining its role as the voice of Nigeria, reaching Nigerians in the diaspora and international communities. As the new director general, it is my duty to ensure the continuity of this esteemed institution.”
He further added, “We will re-energize and reorganize the organization through technological advancements and comprehensive training programs for our staff, enabling them to compete on a global scale with their counterparts in other media houses.”
Addressing concerns about equal treatment between the Lagos and Abuja offices, Mr Ndace assured the staff that there would be equitable distribution of resources and equal opportunities for all. He acknowledged the significance of the Lagos office and stated that it marked the starting point of VON’s external service before it was shifted to Abuja.
