Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has recently expressed his preference for playing in the Major League Soccer (MLS) over the Saudi Pro League, provided he is offered the “same conditions”. This revelation comes after Osimhen turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi side Al Hilal this summer.
The 24-year-old Nigerian footballer shared his thoughts in a Twitch interview with Emiliano Viviano, former Italy forward Mario Balotelli, and fans around the world. Osimhen reiterated his contentment playing for Napoli in the Serie A, highlighting the challenges and demands of the Italian league.
Reflecting on his experience, he stated, “I am happy at Napoli. People don’t know how difficult it is to play in Serie A. From a tactical and physical point of view, it’s one of the most demanding leagues to compete in.”
However, when posed with the question of whether he would choose the MLS or the Saudi Pro League under identical circumstances, Osimhen candidly replied, “If I had the same conditions, I would join the MLS.”
