Ohanaeze Calls on Tinubu to Reconcile with Atiku and Obi Following Supreme Court Verdict

In the aftermath of the recent Supreme Court verdict, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization has issued a compelling appeal to President Bola Tinubu. They have implored him to extend the hand of fellowship to the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

The organization believes that by reconciling with Atiku and Obi, Tinubu would create an environment of unity, inclusivity, and collaboration for all Nigerians to work together towards the progress and development of the nation.

The Factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, emphasized the importance of displaying qualities of sportsmanship and called upon Tinubu to embrace the spirit of true sportsmanship.

Isiguzoro stated, “President Tinubu should extend hands of friendship and reconciliation to his opponents, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, in the spirit of true sportsmanship. By fostering unity and inclusivity, President Tinubu has the opportunity to create an environment where all Nigerians can work together towards the progress and development of our great nation.”

Furthermore, Ohanaeze Ndigbo cautioned the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), particularly its diaspora chapter, against any plans to disgrace President Tinubu. The organization emphasized the importance of coming together, regardless of political affiliations, to support the elected government. They stressed that unity and collaboration are key in overcoming the challenges that lie ahead and in building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo remains committed to promoting the interests and welfare of the Igbo people and all Nigerians. They acknowledge and applaud the Supreme Court’s verdict, which provides closure to the 2023 Presidential elections. The organization calls upon all Nigerians to shift their focus towards fostering peace, unity, and progress as they collectively work towards a brighter future under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
