Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, the former Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria, was bestowed with two illustrious honours in a momentous ceremony that acknowledged his exceptional contributions to the nation.
During the convocation event of the Nigerian Army University Biu on Saturday in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria, the former military leader was presented with an Honorary Doctor of Letters degree.
Moreover, he was bestowed with the esteemed traditional title of “The Betara of Biu” by the Emir of Biu, HRH Dr. Mai Mustafa Umar Mustafa II.
During his tenure as the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Buratai played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Nigerian Army University Biu, which has since become a symbol of educational excellence and national pride.
