In a significant breakthrough, the Taraba State Command of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) has successfully arrested a notorious gang leader and three of his accomplices who have been terrorizing various parts of the state. The apprehended individuals, including the suspected gang leader known as Commander Falalu, have now been paraded at the palace of the Emir of Muri, Abbas Njidda.
The arrested suspects, cornered in different locations across the state, have all confessed to their involvement in the criminal activities they have been accused of.
Dantala Adamu, the state Chairman of the VGN in charge of operations, proudly showcased the apprehended suspects to the public. He highlighted that these individuals are responsible for the wave of kidnappings that have instilled fear in the communities of Yorro, Ardo-Kola, and Bali local government councils.
Adamu emphasized the significance of parading the suspects at the palace before handing them over to the police, as it allows the royal father to witness firsthand the achievements of the VGN, an organization that he has been wholeheartedly supporting. The Emir of Muri has been a steadfast ally, providing essential resources and support to combat criminal elements within the state.
During the interrogation, the gang leader acknowledged his involvement in the kidnapping trade but vehemently denied any allegations of murder. He also revealed that he had been residing in a cave known as the “Commander Falalu Bush,” situated in the hilly terrain of Donkin Village in Yorro local government council.
All the other suspects implicated themselves in a series of abductions that have resulted in the families of their victims being forced to pay exorbitant ransoms amounting to millions of Naira.
