In a recent media parley held in Umuahia, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to securing the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Dismissing accusations that President Bola Tinubu was responsible for Kanu’s incarceration, Otti stated that his administration is actively working to obtain Kanu’s freedom through a unique and undisclosed approach.
Governor Otti emphasized that the effectiveness of his initiatives would be demonstrated through results rather than media hype. He expressed his preference for a quiet and diligent pursuit of Kanu’s release, admitting to working diligently behind the scenes without seeking attention or accolades. According to him, the new government should not be burdened with the mistakes of its predecessor.
“I believe in results rather than media noise. We do not want media noise. We are working very hard to ensure his release,” Governor Otti declared.
As the situation unfolds, the governor’s efforts are expected to yield positive outcomes in due course. Nigerians, both within and beyond Abia State, keenly await further progress in the endeavor to restore Kanu’s freedom.
