Ensuring Security in Katsina: A Call to Civic Responsibility

The Member Representing Faskari Constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly, Samaila Bawa, has emphasized the need for citizens to be actively engaged in their civic rights and responsibilities as a way to support Governor Umar Dikko Radda’s efforts in ensuring the safety and security of the state.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the Tafoki Ward, Bawa stressed the importance of citizens complementing the state government’s initiatives, particularly the recruitment and inauguration of the Katsina State Community Watch Corp, in responding to the prevailing security challenges that hinder the state’s development and progress.

According to Bawa, it is crucial for citizens to extend their support and understanding to the officers and personnel of the Community Watch Corp, enabling them to swiftly respond to security concerns. He urged everyone to remain vigilant, monitor strangers in their communities, refrain from spreading rumors, and provide useful information to the relevant authorities.

“In our homes and neighborhoods, it is our civic duty to actively contribute to enhancing our collective security,” Bawa emphasized.
