Kogi guber poll: NSCDC to deploy 3,000 operatives

Three thousand personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kogi State Command, will be deployed to provide security during the November 11 governorship election.

The state commandant, Ahmad Gandi, disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday in Lokoja.

He said, “The Command has concluded plans to give adequate coverage and no stone will be left unturned to ensure that the election is hitch-free.”

Gandi added that, since he assumed duty in the state, he has been able to prosecute 24 cases and secure over 90 per cent convictions.
