I’m Underrated – Nigerian Singer Skales

In a recent interview on the popular Hip TV program, Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah, Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, commonly known as Skales, opened up about feeling underrated in the music industry.

Skales confidently expressed his belief that he is, in fact, “the greatest artist” but feels that fans and industry insiders aren’t giving him the credit he deserves.

During the interview, Skales also revealed that he has been battling low self-esteem throughout the early years of his career. However, in 2020, he underwent a transformation and rediscovered himself.

“Even though I have achieved tremendous success with my music, I still doubt myself. But now, I have found greater confidence in myself,” Skales shared.

Skales went on to state that he believes he played a significant role in taking afrobeats to a global audience. He feels honored and privileged to have been part of the movement, and he proudly declares himself as the greatest artist of the moment.

“This is not meant to disrespect anyone; it’s simply my opinion of myself. I firmly believe that I’m currently at the forefront of the music industry because my musical journey has been nothing short of inspiring,” Skales added.
