Man Utd Players and Ten Hag: A Divide and Many Fallouts Behind the Scenes – Shay Given

In a surprising revelation, former Manchester City goalkeeper, Shay Given, has shed light on a supposed divide between Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, and his players. Given’s claim follows Man United’s disappointing 3-0 loss to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

According to Given, there are numerous fallouts happening behind the scenes between Ten Hag and the players. This revelation comes on the heels of Ten Hag’s fallout with star player Jadon Sancho in recent weeks. On September 3, Ten Hag called out Sancho for his underwhelming performances in training, to which the England winger vehemently denied.

In the aftermath of Man United’s defeat to Newcastle, Given expressed his observations, saying, “There seems to be a real divide, in my opinion, between the players and the manager. I suspect that there are many fallouts happening behind closed doors that we, the public, are not privy to.

Given then highlighted the absence of Raphael Varane due to illness and Jadon Sancho’s exclusion from the team, along with Antony Martial’s ongoing issues. These incidents further fuel the speculation surrounding the fractured relationship within the club.

Concluding his remarks, Given emphasized the responsibility of the players to shoulder the blame as well. He stated, “When you cross the white line, players have a vital role in taking responsibility. At the end of any managerial reign, there often exists a sense of disbelief.”

These revelations by Shay Given bring to the forefront the apparent turbulence within Manchester United. The alleged fallouts and divisions between the players and manager Ten Hag raise questions about the club’s unity and cohesion, which undoubtedly affects their performance on the pitch.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Manchester United will address these internal issues and whether they can regain their footing to compete at the highest level.
