Tinubu presents APC flags to Sylva, Ododo, Uzodinma for Nov 11 gubernatorial polls

President Bola Tinubu, in a grand ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, presented the symbolic flag of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to the candidates running for gubernatorial seats in Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo states. This gesture served as a powerful endorsement for the candidates – Hope Uzodinma, Timipreye Sylva, and Ahmed Ododo of Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi states respectively – as they gear up for the off-season elections set to take place on November 11.

The National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, accompanied the three candidates to the Presidential Villa, where President Tinubu passed down the flags to them. In his address, President Tinubu expressed his hopes for each candidate’s success and praised their contributions to the party.

Speaking specifically to the governor of Kogi state, Usman Ododo, President Tinubu acknowledged his efforts in ensuring a smooth transition from one APC governor to another. He also praised Hope Uzodinma, the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, for his exceptional work within the party. Additionally, he commended Timipre Sylva for his accomplishments as a former governor and minister of petroleum resources.
