In a bid to enhance governance and drive development in Kwara State, the Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has inaugurated three top officials of the government. The newly appointed officials include Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, who will be returning as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), and Prince Abdul Kadir Aliyu Mahe, who will now serve as the Chief of Staff (CoS).

Barrister Murtala Sambo has also been inaugurated as the Special Adviser on Legal Matters, a position he previously held until May 29, 2023, when the previous administration came to an end.

The governor, during the inauguration event, emphasized the importance of the new officials being people-centric in the discharge of their duties. He urged them to prioritize transparency, loyalty, and the public interest in their decision-making processes.

The governor said, “The tasks ahead are truly enormous. I urge you to be transparent and loyal and be propelled only by the public interest. We want to leave a legacy of improved well-being for our people, especially in human capital development. Kwara is now a reference point in many positive areas. Our goal is to surpass our past achievements.”

At a time of financial limitations, the governor urged the appointed officials to perform their duties in a manner that reflects the current realities of the country. He also emphasized the need for proper coordination of government officials, harmonious relationships between the government and the people, and efficient service delivery.

The newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Jibril, expressed his gratitude to the governor for the confidence reposed in them. He assured the governor of their commitment to the success and development of the state.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by a few government officials, including Dr. Ahmed Yinka Aluko, the House of Representatives member representing Ilorin East/South.
