Pro-Palestinian Rally in Frankfurt Leads to Nine Detentions

During a pro-Palestinian rally and demonstration held in Frankfurt on Friday, German police detained nine individuals. The detainees are under investigation for alleged crimes, including incitement to hatred and the use of unconstitutional symbols.

The protest, which took place in Frankfurt city centre, was attended by approximately 850 people who gathered under the banner, “Ceasefire in Gaza.”

Authorities reported that they confiscated a sign bearing what they described as “SS runes.” The woman carrying the sign was subsequently arrested. Additionally, another woman was apprehended for holding up a poster featuring the flag of Israel inside a garbage bin, accompanied by the words, “Keep the world clean.”

The officers seized the offensive sign and charged the woman with suspected incitement to hatred.
