IPAC Calls on Governor Yusuf to Appoint Members of Other Political Parties for an all-inclusive Government

The Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC) has urged the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to appoint chieftains and members of other political parties into his cabinet. This move is seen as a strategy to create an all-inclusive government that will ensure equitable development and the distribution of democratic dividends across the state.

As part of a project monitoring tour, IPAC visited Kano to assess Governor Yusuf’s performance in the first six months of his tenure. The delegation, which consisted of leaders from all political parties in Nigeria, inspected 11 projects in various sectors, including education, health, agriculture, physical infrastructure, and human development.

Speaking to journalists at the Tahir Guest Palace after the tour, Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), emphasized the importance of involving members from different political parties in governance. He believes that this gesture will promote healing and foster further development in the state.

IPAC also commended the security situation in Kano and expressed appreciation for the efforts of government workers in driving socio-economic development. Chief Nwosu praised the dispensation of democratic dividends in Kano, promising to submit a comprehensive report of their findings to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the National Assembly for appraisal and commendation.

Chief Nwosu, speaking on behalf of IPAC National Chairman, Engr. Sani Yabagi, explained that the purpose of their project tours across states in Nigeria is to encourage good governance and foster collaboration among political parties for the benefit of the people.
