‘Day I told my husband I don’t want to outshine him’ – Toyosi

Media personality and movie producer, Toyosi Etim-Effiong, has recounted her husband’s reaction when she opened up to him, saying that she doesn’t want to “outshine” him.

She said that being aware of her massive potential, she was bothered that she could outshine her actor husband but he encouraged her when she finally summoned the courage to open up to him about her worries.

She said her husband’s response “felt like an impartation,” stressing that he urged her to feel free to do exploits.

Mrs Etim-Effiong disclosed this in a lengthy Instagram post celebrating their wedding anniversary.

The content producer said “the burden was lifted” after her husband’s permission.

“I felt emboldened and encouraged. I had the full support of the most important person in my life and it was liberating! I began to make preparations to take flight. A little while later, I did. I took flight and I’m still ascending,” she wrote.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the couple got married on November 4, 2017. They welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in January 2019.
