Be vigilant – NYSC warns corps members in Yobe

The Yobe State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Hafsat Yerima, has urged corps members to be vigilant and wary of their environment to ensure their safety.

She stated this while briefing the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Dazigau, Nangere Local Government Area of the state.

Yerima tasked them with reporting strange or suspicious movements and behaviour in their environment to the nearest security formation for necessary action.

“Participation in all camp activities is compulsory for corps members, except those with valid medical reasons, certified by the camp clinic,” she stressed.

She also informed them that NYSC has introduced camp court for trying erring corps members who violate camp rules.

Yerima also cautioned them on the usage of social media, advising them to use the platforms in a positive manner.
