Renowned Nigerian film producer, Ifeanyi Ogbodo Alex, has finally broken his silence on the uproar surrounding his wife, Ekene Umenwa, and the viral video of her embracing gospel singer, Moses Bliss, at their wedding reception.
The highly anticipated wedding between Ekene Umenwa and Alex took place on Saturday, garnering attention and admiration from their fans and well-wishers.
However, the celebrations were marred by controversy when a video surfaced on social media, capturing Ekene Umenwa leaving her husband’s side and kneeling before Moses Bliss, who unexpectedly made an appearance to perform at the reception.
In response to the ensuing controversies, the master of ceremonies, Deacon Famous, took to the internet to clarify the situation, stating that Umenwa was not kneeling for Moses Bliss, but rather for the anointing he brought with him.
“I personally invited Moses Bliss to the wedding as a surprise for Ekene because she desired a worship session during her special day,” revealed Deacon Famous.
He continued, “She was not kneeling down for Moses Bliss; she was humbling herself before the anointing that Moses carries.”
Alex, Ekene Umenwa’s husband, responded to the controversy in the comments section, expressing his support for Deacon Famous. He wrote, “Deacon, you took the time to explain. I have no complaints. May God bless you abundantly, my brother.”
