2026 WCQ: Osimhen, Chukwueze will miss Lesotho, Zimbabwe games – Peseiro

Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze will not be a part of Nigeria’a squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in opposition to Lesotho and Zimbabwe, based on head coach Jose Peseiro.

The duo had been injured in Nigeria’s pleasant in opposition to the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia final month.

While Chukwueze has returned to coaching, Osimhen continues to be recovering from the damage.

Peseiro confirmed the duo wouldn’t be referred to as up for the games in opposition to the Likuena and Warriors.

“Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen will not be called up during the next break; we want to avoid any risks,” Peseiro advised TV Play, as per Milan Reports.

“I was very sorry for their injuries: the clubs pay the players, and we constantly collaborate with them.”

The Super Eagles will entertain Lesotho on the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Thursday, November 16.

The encounter in opposition to Zimbabwe, billed for the Huye Stadium, will happen three days later.
