Abia Comets Football Club of Umuahia is gearing up to kick off their campaign in the 2023/2024 Nigerian National League (NNL) with an exciting match against Ekiti United of Ado Ekiti on Saturday, November 19.
The two teams, both part of the Southern Conference Group A of the NNL, will face off at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti, setting the stage for a thrilling encounter between the Umuahia and Ado Ekiti-based football clubs.
Emmanuel Chinedu, the media officer of Abia Comets, expressed his team’s readiness for the upcoming season in an interview with Media Talk Africa in Umuahia. He stated that the Kevin Ejeh-coached team has meticulously prepared for the first match and subsequent games.
Chinedu highlighted Abia Comets’ recent friendly matches in preparation for the new NNL season, including a captivating 3-0 victory at Umuahia Township Stadium against Right 2 Win Sports Club.
