President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Saudi-Africa Summit, aiming to bolster diplomatic ties and promote economic cooperation.
The Nigerian leader, hailing from Abuja, is set to play a pivotal role in the Saudi-Africa Summit scheduled for November 10, 2023, where he will underscore Nigeria’s commitment to attracting increased Foreign Direct Investment and fostering business partnerships. This determination is underpinned by the ongoing economic rejuvenation efforts spearheaded by his administration.
According to the statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the inaugural Saudi-Africa Summit will be centered on collaborative strategies, political synchronization, regional security deliberations, and the advancement of economic landscapes through research and indigenous energy innovations. This will be complemented by a drive to boost cross-sectoral investment collaboration.
The President is accompanied by a high-powered delegation including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman; the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun; the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu; and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Bagudu.
