He identified the use of drugs among youths as a significant factor contributing to social vices, urging law enforcement agencies to exhaust all avenues in ensuring the perpetrators are brought to justice. The Governor advocated for a comprehensive investigation into the root causes of the incident.
Kefas underscored the importance of the free education policy in securing the future of the youth. He highlighted that this policy also includes ensuring the welfare and well-being of both teachers and students, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to addressing challenges within the educational system. The incident involved the fatal stabbing of a secondary school teacher, Bassey Sarduana Nkuphee, on Thursday by a former student who allegedly conspired with friends from the school, as confirmed by the police.
