Former Arsenal superstar, Thierry Henry, recently shared his concerns about the recurring injury setbacks faced by the club’s striker, Gabriel Jesus.
Jesus made a notable shift to Arsenal from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in 2022.
Despite a promising start at Arsenal post his transfer from Manchester City, Jesus’ progress was severely impeded by injury woes.
The Brazilian forward was sidelined for an extended period post the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he sustained a knee injury.
While Henry lauded Jesus’ football prowess, he also expressed regret over the striker’s frequent spells on the sidelines due to injury.
Speaking to CBS Sports, Henry praised Jesus’ goal against Sevilla, stating, “When you see that goal, that is a great strike. The only problem with Gabriel Jesus is that he often gets injured. Unfortunately for him and us.”
With four goals in 11 matches this season, Gabriel Jesus’ impact at Arsenal has been palpable despite the intermittent setbacks.
