Kwara United’s Coach, Dogo, Decries Draw Against Shooting Stars in NPFL Clash

Coach Kabiru Dogo of Kwara United has voiced his disappointment over the team’s 1-1 draw against Shooting Stars on Sunday in a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) encounter.

The Harmony Boys rallied to equalise late in the second half, with Alao Mohammed scoring after Taofeek Malomo had put the visitors in front in the 40th minute at the Kwara State Sports Complex.

Former Shooting Stars forward, Samuel Ayanrinde, missed a penalty for the hosts in the early minutes of the game, further adding to their frustrations.

Dogo lamented that his players squandered the opportunity to take the lead in the game, but he reassured fans that the team would work on improving their performance in subsequent matches.

Addressing the media after the game, Dogo expressed his disappointment, saying, “The draw against Shooting Stars was a disappointment. That wasn’t what we bargained for. I believe in the team; we will keep improving.”

Kwara United currently holds the 14th position on the NPFL table, and will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
