Nigerian Troops Eliminate 3 Bandits and Seize Weapons in Kaduna Operation

The Nigerian Army has reported the successful neutralization of three bandits and the recovery of weapons in Kaduna. According to the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations I Division Nigerian Army, Lt-Col Musa Yahaya, this operation took place in the general area of Maro – Chibiya forest in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Nov 12. The troops engaged the armed bandits with superior firepower, leading to the neutralization of one bandit and the dispersal of the others with gunshot wounds into the surrounding forest.

The army disclosed that two General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMGs), three AK47 rifles, and seven motorcycles were recovered from the enclave of the neutralized bandits. Additionally, during a separate clearance operation at Kawara and Filin Jalo villages in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Nov. 10, troops of the division and operation Whirl Punch encountered and neutralized another bandit. They also recovered one AK 47 rifle loaded with 30 rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, one locally fabricated AK 47 rifle, four 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle.
