Cherubim and Seraphim church loses spiritual leader, Baba Aladura

The spiritual leader and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, is dead.

Prophet Abidoye died Sunday morning at about 10:00 am at the age of 103 in his Ilorin home, the Kwara state capital.

His death was disclosed by the church’s Secretary-General, Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun.

Narrating his last moment, Odetundun said the deceased had his breakfast, and while dressing up for service, he opted to take a rest.

A statement by Odetundun said: “He passed on peacefully, thereafter.”

He further disclosed that the burial arrangement of the spiritual father would be announced later.

Baba Aladura, as he is popularly called, was born on June 26 as a Prince at Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State.

His father was Odetundun Abegunde, Oba Olomu of Omu Aran, which was in Ilorin Province at the time.
