Tinubu Vows to Transform Nigeria and Change Its Narrative

President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to transforming Nigeria and rewriting its narrative for the betterment of all Nigerians.

While addressing journalists after completing the rituals of the Umrah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, Tinubu expressed his administration’s determination to bring about this change through a series of reforms, programs, and policies aimed at ultimately benefiting the citizens.

“The potential of our country is yet to fully blossom to the level we aspire to. It requires dedicated effort and unwavering prayers from each and every one of us. We are resolved to harness our collective strength to unlock this potential for the benefit of all Nigerians,” stated Tinubu.

He also emphasized the importance of expressing gratitude to God for His guidance, blessings, and answers to prayers, not just for himself but for the entire nation and humanity as a whole.

The Umrah, a set of lesser Hajj rituals performed by Muslims at any time of the year, holds significant religious and spiritual importance.

During his sojourn in Makkah, Tinubu was hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and accompanied by a distinguished cleric from the King’s palace for the circumambulation of the Kaaba. The rituals were concluded with heartfelt prayers led by Sheikh Dakilullah Al-Makky and Sheikh Abdulwahab Suleiman.

The rituals involved circling the Kaaba seven times and walking back and forth between the hills of Safa and Marwa also seven times.

Furthermore, the governors of Bauchi, Niger, and Katsina states, along with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning and other top government officials, participated in the ritual alongside President Tinubu.

Tinubu’s visit to Saudi Arabia coincides with the Saudi-Africa summit, which brought together leaders from across Africa and the business community from both regions.
