Rapper Magnito Claims Many Nigerian Female Artists Are Managed by Their Boyfriends

Renowned Nigerian rapper, Mohammed Usman Adamu, popularly known as Magnito, has sparked a debate by suggesting that “most successful female artists” in Nigeria are often managed by their romantic partners.

According to Magnito, this trend, prevalent in the Nigerian music industry, is discreetly concealed as these female artists choose to keep their relationships private. The ‘Canada’ hitmaker made these assertions during the recent installment of the Terms And Conditions podcast.

He revealed, “Most of the successful female artists you see, the person managing them is their boyfriend. They might not put it in the public. But most of them… Call any name.”

Unsurprisingly, Magnito’s statement has ignited a flurry of reactions on social media, with some in agreement and others criticizing him for making sweeping generalizations.
