Moses Wetangula Champions Unity Efforts in Western Kenya

National Assembly Speaker, Moses Wetangula, spearheaded a concerted initiative to unite Western Members of Parliament (MPs) Caucus and rally the region’s residents towards a common cause.

The formidable leaders convened at the Our Lady Consolata Bukaya Parish Church in Mumias West Constituency, delivering impassioned speeches advocating for unity among the local populace.

Wetangula, with remarkable sagacity, affirmed, “The previous General Elections are now a thing of the past. Our people clamor for efficient service delivery, which can only be achieved through cohesive cooperation and solidarity.”

Emphasizing the region’s formidable numerical strength, Wetangula underscored the imperative of unity in harnessing robust political leverage.

The esteemed Speaker reiterated the government’s fundamental obligation to all Kenyans, transcending political inclinations and electoral allegiances.

Furthermore, he exhorted the community to adopt a forward-looking mindset conducive to shaping a promising future. “One can never navigate a path to safety while fixated on the rearview mirror,” he astutely remarked, urging residents to eschew excessive preoccupation with the preceding election outcomes and instead collaborate with the government proactively.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to addressing the region’s pertinent issues, notably the ailing sugar sector, Wetangula lauded President Dr. William Ruto’s pledge to settle the arrears owed by the Mumias Sugar Company—a momentous stride towards its revival and resurgence.

In a fervent display of solidarity, Hon. Nabii Nabwire and other attending MPs echoed the imperative for the Western community to coalesce as a formidable force capable of effecting meaningful transformation and transcending historical schisms.

Underscoring the significance of fostering love and mutual appreciation within the community, Hon. Nabii Nabwire’s impassioned message resonated profoundly in the aftermath of the regrettable assault on Hon. Peter Salasya during the event.

Collectively, they epitomized a resolute pursuit of national leadership, epitomizing a collective resolve to foster unity and purpose that transcends partisan divides.
