Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB Lawyer Defends Leader Amidst Terrorism Allegations

Aloy Ejimakor, the lawyer representing Nnamdi Kanu, the prominent figure of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), fervently maintains that Kanu is not a terrorist.

Ejimakor emphatically asserts that Kanu is not just an individual, but the revered leader of a multitude, and their resolve for his freedom remains unyielding.

He stresses that multiple courts would not grant a terrorist monetary compensation and an unconditional release, underscoring the fallacy of the terrorism allegations against Kanu.

Expressing his position on social media, Ejimakor proclaimed, “This truth is self-evident: A terrorist can never be awarded monetary compensation by 3 High Courts & unconditional release by the Court of Appeal & the United Nations. #FreeMNK. He’s not a terrorist. He’s a leader of millions & legions who will never relent until he’s freed.”

Subsequent to his reapprehension in Kenya in 2021 and subsequent extradition to Nigeria, Nnamdi Kanu has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) at the behest of the Nigerian government.

Following his return to Nigeria, court rulings have decreed his liberation and have also sanctioned monetary restitution for Kanu.

Despite court directives for the release of the IPOB trailblazer, the Nigerian government has persistently refused to comply.

Recently, IPOB accused the DSS of obstructing Kanu’s access to visitors amidst reports of his ailing health.
