The National Vice Chairman for the South-East region of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has unequivocally expressed the party’s strategic plan to assert its influence across the entire South-East, drawing inspiration from its recent success in the Imo State governorship election.
In a press briefing held on Tuesday in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, the APC’s National Vice Chairman for the South-East outlined the party’s determined efforts to replicate its triumph in Imo State by securing governance in Anambra State and expanding its presence in other states within the region.
Amidst congratulating Governor Uzodinma on his resounding victory, Arodiogbu urged the citizens of the South-East to rise above narrow regional sentiments and actively engage in central politics, emphasizing the significance of being politically relevant on a national scale.
Highlighting the recent election, Arodiogbu underscored the inclusive approach taken by Governor Hope Uzodinma, extending a hand of fellowship to candidates from the Labour Party (LP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing the unity and progress of the state.
“The people of Imo State have unequivocally demonstrated their desire for the APC to sustain and build upon its commendable governance. They have voiced their support for Senator Hope Uzodinma to continue the impactful work he has initiated,” Arodiogbu stated with conviction.
He further rallied the populace of the South-East to align themselves with the central political power, confidently asserting, “Under my stewardship as the APC National Vice Chairman, the South-East will witness an expansion of our influence and steadfast support.”
