Alvaro Morata Speaks Out About Struggles in England and Departure from Chelsea

Former Chelsea forward, Alvaro Morata, has revealed the challenges he faced in England and the reasons behind his departure from the Blues.

Morata made the move to Chelsea from Real Madrid in 2017. The 31-year-old initially displayed promising performances at Stamford Bridge, but ultimately failed to meet expectations and was subsequently transferred to Atletico Madrid in 2019.

In an interview with Radioestadio Noche, Morata candidly reflected on his difficult stint with Chelsea.

“I had a really tough time in England,” Morata shared (as reported by Football London). “I discussed with my wife the possibility of joining a familiar club where the pressure was less.

He added, “I refrain from engaging with social media; I simply cannot afford to get caught up in self-doubt.”
