New Executive Elected to Lead Nigeria’s Sport Bikers Association

The Superbike Association of Nigeria (SCAN), the country’s leading body for sport bikers, has elected a new executive team to steer the association forward.

The election, which took place in the vibrant city of Jos, the capital of Plateau State, resulted in the emergence of an 11-member executive committee (exco) that will oversee the affairs of the association in 2024.

According to a statement released by Mr. Mustapha Ibrahim, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of SCAN, the newly elected executive will bring fresh leadership to the association.

Mr. Hussaini Misari clinched the position of president, with Mr. David Julius elected as vice president, and Mr. Abdullahi Daku assuming the role of secretary general.

Completing the exco are Mr. Nengar Terfa as the assistant secretary general, Mr. Geofrey Ojeabulu as the treasurer, Mr. Raymond Yakshut as the financial secretary, and Mr. Salisu Abubakar as the welfare officer.

Additionally, Mr. Umar Abubakar has been elected as the internal auditor, Mr. Olu Abel as the provost, Mr. Muktar Makarfi as the media and publicity officer, and Mr. Dakwai Lengs as the national road captain.

The statement also revealed that the inauguration of the new executive committee is scheduled to take place in Kano on the 2nd of December, 2023, setting the stage for the official commencement of their tenure.

Moreover, in a display of compassion and solidarity, members of the association embarked on a humanitarian visit to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, underscoring their commitment to community engagement and support.
