The Theatre Commander of Joint Task Force (JTF) North East Operation HADIN KAI, Major General Gold Chibuisi, has called on the 144 Battalion Nigerian Army to decisively confront the remaining terrorists within their operational jurisdiction.
During his visit to the 144 Battalion in Madagali, Adamawa State, General Chibuisi emphasized the need for the troops to build on their recent victories against the terrorists and reaffirmed their readiness to eliminate the insurgents.
Confident in the troops’ capabilities, General Chibuisi assured them of addressing all challenges raised to enhance their operational efficiency.
He also commended the efforts of the hunters collaborating with the Army, urging them to advise farmers against venturing into marked unsafe areas and to continue supporting the Army’s anti-terrorist efforts.
Earlier, the Commanding Officer 144 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel B Clarke, briefed the Theatre Commander on the Battalion’s activities, assuring an improvement in their operations based on the feedback received.
Present during the visit were the GOC 7 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Sector 1 OPHK Maj Gen PP Malla, Commander 26 Task Force Brigade Brig Gen SU Abubakar, Commander 28 Task Force Brigade Brig Gen BO Amakor, and other senior officers from Headquarters Theatre Command and 7 Division Nigerian Army, Maiduguri.
