NNL: WIkki Tourists FC trash EFCC FC 5 – 0 in Bauchi

WIkki Tourists Football Club of Bauchi on Saturday trashed visiting EFCC Football Club of Abuja 5- 0 at the ongoing 2023/2024 Nigeria National League, NNL.

The group C match was played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, ATBS, Bauchi.

The first half of the match ended goaless in spite of the pressure by the home team.

Nantaka Bangs opened score for the hosts in the 60th minute of the game.

In spite the visitors aggressive play, Owolabi Aremu added a second in the 66th minute of the game for WIkki Tourists FC.

Wikki Tourists captain got the third in the 82nd minute of the game while Promise Daramola and Kilinsher Namtaka scored the fourth and fifth goals in added time.

In a post match interview,EFCC FC Coach Adeyemi Sani said he was disappointed with the scoreline.

“We had a good performance in the first half of the game but we failed in the second half.

“Our team will play more games in the upcoming days ,so if we go back home we will strategise for the next match, the league is just starting,” he said.

On his part, WIkki Tourists Chief Coach Azeez Mohammed said the match was wonderful that secured the three points in their first game in the league.

“We have started well, we will continue to improve as the league progresses because we have more matches ahead.

“We are going to look at the gray areas to make the team more formidable,” Mohammed said.
