Kabiru Dogo, the head coach of Kwara United, has attributed his team’s away draw against Bendel Insurance to inexperience.
The Harmony Boys played to a 2-2 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Saturday.
Sadeeq Yusuf opened the scoring for the visitors in the first half, but Bendel Insurance’s Stephen Sodje leveled the score with a powerful strike. Kwara United’s Godwin Oshagbemi then regained the lead for his team before the break, only for Ismail Seriki to equalize for the hosts in added time.
Dogo acknowledged that the late goal conceded by his team was due to a loss of concentration.
However, he has assured fans that his team will build on this result as they prepare for their next league game.
Following this result, The Harmony Boys have moved up to the 14th position on the table with nine points.
Kwara United is set to host Gombe United next at the Kwara State Sports Complex.
