Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, celebrated his 66th birthday as President Bola Tinubu extended warm wishes, acknowledging Jonathan’s outstanding statesmanship and leadership.
Tinubu lauded Jonathan for his pivotal role in reshaping Nigeria’s democratic landscape and elevating Africa’s standing in the global democratic sphere. He commended Jonathan for steering the nation towards a new era, characterized by a departure from the entrenched power retention tactics.
President Tinubu positioned Jonathan as a paragon of humility and a catalyst for good governance, both nationally and continentally. He highlighted Jonathan’s remarkable trajectory, ascending from Deputy Governor to Governor, Vice-President, and ultimately, President. Tinubu also emphasized Jonathan’s current pursuit of peacebuilding in Africa, where he continues to engage and counsel leaders on promoting harmonious coexistence for the greater benefit of their constituents.
