President Yoweri Museveni has expressed his admiration for the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope, for his recent decision to enter into marriage, citing it as a commendable example for the younger generation, known as Bazukulu. The President highlighted the significance of marriage and the positive impact it has on individuals and society as a whole.
In a message congratulating the Kyabazinga, President Museveni emphasised the importance of having a suitable companion in life, referencing a biblical verse from the book of Genesis. He commended the Kyabazinga for his choice of a “Helper” and the Inebantu of Busoga, who will play a supporting role in the governance of the Kingdom.
Quoting from the book of Genesis, Chapter 2, Verse 18, President Museveni said, “And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” He lauded the Kyabazinga for his decision to marry and extended his best wishes for a prosperous and blessed union.
Furthermore, President Museveni praised the Kyabazinga for setting a positive example, particularly for the Bazukulu. He asserted that marriage cultivates discipline, fosters mutual accountability to one’s partner and to God, and provides a foundation for stability, thereby enabling individuals to pursue meaningful life goals. Additionally, he highlighted the privilege of parenthood as a means of co-creating with God, contributing to the blessing of children and the future generation.
