Former First Lady of the United States, Rosalynn Carter, Dies at 96

Rosalynn Carter, the beloved wife of former US President, Jimmy Carter, has passed away at the age of 96.

Her death was formally confirmed by the Carter Center, the non-profit organization founded by the couple, in a statement released on Sunday at 2:10 pm.

Recognized as a fervent advocate for mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, Rosalynn Carter drew her last breath at her residence in Plains, Georgia, surrounded by her cherished family.

“Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a dedicated champion of mental health, caregiving, and women’s rights, departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 2:10 p.m. at her home in Plains, Georgia, at the age of 96. She passed away peacefully, with her family at her side,” the Carter Center announced.
