The untimely passing of acclaimed Kannywood Movie Director, Aminu Surajo Bono, has left the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, deeply saddened and in a state of shock.
In a heartfelt statement released on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Mr Ganduje expressed his profound grief at the loss, describing it as a significant blow to the Northern entertainment industry.
“Bono stood head and shoulders above his peers in the entertainment industry, demonstrating unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting the rich socio-cultural values of the Hausa/Fulani heritage,” said the APC national chairman.
According to Mr Olofu, Aminu Surajo Bono’s impactful presence in the industry has not only garnered widespread admiration but also played a pivotal role in fostering confidence and support for Kannywood.
“At this difficult time, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, and indeed the entire Kannywood community, on the loss of one of the industry’s most exceptional talents, Ace movie Director, Aminu Surajo Bono,” the statement added.
The statement emphasized the indelible mark left by Bono’s contributions in bringing fame to Kannywood, underlining his unparalleled influence on and off the stage, which served to inspire confidence among skeptics of the industry.
“The departure of Aminu Surajo Bono has unquestionably left a void in the entertainment industry, a reality that we will grapple with for years to come,” Mr Ganduje affirmed.
Concluding the statement, Mr Ganduje invoked prayers for Allah’s solace upon Mr Bono’s bereaved family and the Kannywood community, beseeching for the departed soul’s shortcomings to be pardoned.
