The First Lady and wife of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Mrs. Mary-Maudlin Nwifuru, has championed Nigerian women to tenaciously pursue their dreams, aspirations, and ambitions. She delivered this clarion call at the distinguished Hilton Istanbul Bomonti, Turkey, during the commencement of a consequential 4-day study tour on leadership etiquette and sustainable development for women. The event was meticulously organized by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in partnership with Prime Unique Women Initiative (PUWI), specifically tailored for the spouses of top government officials.
The study tour, under the resonant theme of ‘Leadership Etiquette for Nation-building’, transcends a mere convening of minds; it stands as a symbol of fortitude and progress for Nigerian women in leadership roles.
Unveiling the import of the gathering, Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru expressed deep appreciation for the unwavering support and input of Nigeria’s leadership:
“I bring you warm greetings and felicitations from Nigeria, and particularly from the finest people of Ebonyi State, on this remarkable occasion of the opening ceremony here in Istanbul, Turkey. I am greatly delighted to be here and even more humbled by this rare opportunity to rub minds with you. I always love to acknowledge our strength, resilience, and determination in life. These inspirational values in us contribute largely in shaping our families, communities and the societies we live in,” she conveyed with heartfelt reverence.
Mrs. Nwifuru lauded the remarkable accomplishments of women across diverse leadership spheres, acknowledging their pivotal role in propelling progress and development. She fervently urged them to perpetuate their exemplary bravery and resilience in surmounting adversities:
